Reminiscent

A waterfall, amidst the hills
A thousand metres above the ground
Lush green life hides the mouth,
Reminiscent of the beauty she was.
And the water falls, high above the cliff
Into the solid rocks below,
Bouncing off surfaces, splashes flying everywhere
The noise is heard, deafening.
Melancholy, parting the moist air
Shattering into a million directions,
Reminiscent of the stained mirror it was.
Wet, he opens his eyes, watches
The water trickling down
Into the deep crater below,
Reminiscent of the being he was…
